Wheelcutting

Almost everybody has seen the star-burst type of design that has been popular since the 1930’s, but not too many are familiar with the wide range of designs that can be done using different shapes and grits of wheel.

In this technique, the glass is held against the revolving grinding wheel, so the designs are created freehand. A great deal of skill and training is necessary.
